Coming Up: CHICAGO

DM 3-26, 35 1We’re super excited to present our first Silent Movie Night of 2017 with a screening of the ORIGINAL black & white silent film, Chicago! Come and enjoy this throwback in a very fitting setting, our beautiful historic theater with live music on our mighty pipe organ!

On Friday, January 20 at 7 pm our SILENT MOVIE NIGHT returns with Cecil B. DeMille’s silent film about CHICAGO!

In the movie, sexy, jazz-loving and dressed to kill, Roxie Hart has a doting, handsome husband in Victor Varconi; not to mention a gold-digging affair on the side with Eugene Pallette, who pays and pays, eventually with his life. Put on trial for murder, Roxie secures lawyer Billy Flynn, equal part mob “mouthpiece” and publicity agent. When Roxie hits the headlines, courtroom theatrics begin!

And, of course, Tommy Stark with his original live organ accompaniment will be pounding out a musical background to supplement this silent movie… just like it was “back in the day!”

Tickets are only $10 and you can pick them up in advance if you want, by stopping by our box office or calling in with a credit card at 934-7010, Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm.

The proceeds will go to support the Palace Theater and The Hilo Theatre Organ Society.

Don’t miss this gritty fun look at early Chicago.
