The Palace Theater is looking for incredible local talent to show off your skills as part of the second annual family friendly variety show competition “A Night of Island Stars.”
Final contestants will perform as part of a full length variety show on Saturday, June 1st. The winner will be selected by a panel of 3 mystery judges, live on the night of the show and awarded the grand prize of $1,000. FIND OUT MORE>>

CAESAR brings William Shakespeare’s classic 1599 tragedy of ambition, assassination, and civil war to terrifying, fully modern life in an audience-immersing multimedia production directed by Hilo Shakespeare veteran Theon Weber. Starring Jeremy Lee, Erin Healani Chung, Saul Rollason, and the Palace Theater itself; and featuring video segments by MERMAID’S LAMENT cinematographer Roselio Hernandez, CAESAR is a 425-year-old play telling a 2068-year-old story that could only be told like this now, and only at the Palace. ABOUT THE FILM
An independent documentary film about Charity Woodrum, a young woman from rural Oregon whose dream of becoming an astrophysicist is nearly derailed when she suffers a devastating tragedy.
Charity was a nontraditional university student, raised in poverty, the first in her family to graduate from high school. In her mid-20s, she was married and nine months pregnant when she decided to return to school to study physics. Life felt perfect. Then, what she calls “The Worst Day.” Her world was destroyed.
With help from friends old and new, she finds her way back to the distant galaxies where she feels most at peace.
