Synopsis: Mermaids’ Lament is about two women: Oee (Dayva Summer Escobar) who suffered an incredible trauma that left her mute and she may or may not be a mermaid. Her therapist, Dr. Nell Jamison (Justina Mattos) battles with anxiety herself, attempts to help Oee overcome her perceived delusions and connect with her reality. Together, they navigate treacherous waters to find a way to break through the surface and into the light
