The Palace Theater is proud to present Justin Kawika Young live in concert for an intimate performance. Ticket sales support the on going mission of the Friends of the Palace Theater to restore, revitalize and sustain the historic Palace Theater as a venue that will educate, entertain and inspire our culturally diverse community.
Born and raised in Hawai’i, Justin Kawika Young first found success in his island home. He accumulated eleven number-one hits on Hawai’i radio before relocating to Los Angeles. He quickly established a following in the local music scene there and connected with other singer/songwriters including Colbie Caillat, eventually joining her band.
Young toured with Caillat as her acoustic guitarist/background vocalist and co-wrote two songs on Caillat’s All Of You album. In 2019 Justin and Caillat formed a band in Nashville with two friends called Gone West. They debuted at The Grand Ole Opry in October of 2019 and their first single, What Could Have Been, hit the top 25 at Country radio. Gone West has accumulated of 30 million Spotify streams.
In 2022, Young joined the band of country star, Brett Young, and ventured out on another adventure which took him around the world for 2 years.
While touring with Colbie Caillat and Brett Young fueled his passion, Young recently set out on a new path. Seven Suns, a band that is composed of Hawaii’s top musicians, but more importantly, close friends, is a dream realized—a collective where every member is both a cherished individual and a musical virtuoso. Their debut single, “Many Feathers,” embodies their mission: individual uniqueness melds into a harmonious whole. Beyond a band, Seven Suns is our genuine contribution, sharing their musical souls to bring joy, ease suffering, and unite people. It’s a shared journey, transcending mere performances for profound musical connections.
