Performing on her double-tabbed aerial hoop, Thula Moon showcases her unique style which combines dynamic contortion, strength, and artistic manipulation from the Empty Palace stage. Thula discovered a passion for circus at an early age and began her circus career performing with the H.I.C.C.U.P. Circus on the Big Island of Hawaii. A graduate of the prestigious National Circus School in Montreal, she is now based in Germany performing for companies such as Wintergarden Berlin, GOP Variety, and Base Berlin. Live looping artist Markus Mars performs an original composition entitled “Live from the Empty Palace.” We are proud to pass the 50 episode milestone, and look forward to continue to showcase the diverse talent of Big Island. Created in response to the ongoing pandemic, LIVE FROM THE EMPTY PALACE is a video series of live performances held in the empty auditorium of the Hilo Palace Theater.
