This series explores the Taumako voyagers, Polynesian navigators who were thought to no longer exist in 1971. The films offer intimate footage with the voyagers who share their system of navigation and sustainable lifeways using ancestral knowledge. Filmmaker Dr. Mimi George is in attendance to present the film and offer insights on the film's production and what she learned from her time with the Taumako people.
