The Palace Theater is proud to be hosting 3 sure to be memorable HPAF events this year.
We kick the season off with festival favorite: OPERA ON THE ROCKS. Join us for an even in the Palace Lobby for this perennial festival favorite of live opera performance with cash bar and pupus catered by Cafe Pesto, accompanied by live a Opera performance. OPERA ON THE ROCKS starts at 7:00pm on Saturday June 29, doors open at 6:00pm. General Admission tickets are $35/each.
Following Opera on the Rocks, is THE TRAGEDY OF CARMEN on Friday July 5. The HAWAI’I PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL presents a production of Peter Brook’s 90-minute adaptation of Bizet’s CARMEN. With Stage Direction by Scott Skiba, Musical Direction by Jennifer Tung and accompanied by HPAF Orchestra, THE TRAGEDY OF CARMEN is presented by arrangement with Boosey & Hawkes, Inc. Publisher and copyright owner. Tickets are available now at the Palace Theater box office. General Admission is $25/each. THE TRAGEDY OF CARMEN starts at 7:00pm on July 5, doors open at 6:00pm.
The final performance at the Palace Theater of this season, is COMPANY on Friday, July 19. The HAWAI’I PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL presents a production of Stephen Sondheim’s COMPANY, the Tony award-winning 1970s musical comedy. Starring Justin John Moniz as Bobby, with Stage Direction by Beth Dunnington, Musical Direction by Kirk Severtson, and accompanied by HPAF Orchestra, tickets are available now at the Palace Box Office for $25/general admission.
